What are Thermal Insulation Jackets?

There’s so many terms and phrases for Thermal Insulation Jackets. They are  referred to as: Insulation Blankets; Insulation Covers, Valve Jackets, Valves Cover & Valve Insulation Jackets. 

Essentially they are fully insulated jackets & covers that help protect valves, flanges, screwed returns & blank end flanges – to name but a few,  from extremes of temperatures. 

They are the most cost effective way of insulating your valves and sections as heat can easily escape from these sections & selves. They may also need to be insulated for safety reasons such as lowering the surface temperature of any exposed valves. This is to protect staff from any hazards as well as ensuring you’re complying with HSE regulations.

Valves are also periodically required to be inspected for escapes of heat and steam. There by having a removable insulation jacket, this process is a whole lot easier.

All our Insulation covers conform to BS5422 and are fabricated from a 80g silicone coated glass, fibre cloth. They are also removable, with built in Velcro flaps and pull cord fasteners. They also withstand substantial heat extremes up to 230 degrees. 

The covers  have a sewn construction with an infill of 50mm of insulation along with velcro fastening. They also are available in a range of colours and sizes.
